CHERRY HECK

NORHEIM

The KIRSCHHECK location is the oldest documented location in the Nahe. It lies as a partially steep southern slope (10 to 50 percent steepness) on the hilly bank of the Nahe near Norheim. The soils consist partly of dark gray claystones and slate clay from the Permian, but also of loess and loess clay beds. The slate soils in particular are easily warmed, which gives the grapes more time to ripen, and ensures a good supply of water. The KIRSCHHECK is located between 120 and 190 meters above sea level. Our plot is 3.5 hectares.

The Kirschheck wines are juicy, crisp and well balanced with an excellent length.

Kirschheck Riesling

The complex nose of the Riesling from the KIRSCHHECK vineyard captivates with a fragrant fruit of lemon zest, ripe mandarin, hints of peach and ripe apricot as well as white flowers. A fine spice develops with increasing contact with air and is reminiscent of mild spices and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is balanced and well structured.
